Barizo

This is the last of Malpica’s beaches, which is about 4 miles from the capital of the municipality before arriving at Ponteceso and its beach ‘Niñóns’.

This rather quiet beach is U-shaped and spreads along 270 yards of fine white-sandy shore. It is located in an unspoilt area and it is protected from the wind by large rocks.

It has anchoring and parking areas and fresh fish and seafood restaurants less than 550 yards away.

The Punta Nariga lighthouse, the most modern of Galicia’s lighthouses, built in 1995, is nearby. In its vicinity there are some curious animal- and human-like rock formations. It is also common to see climbers bouldering.
