Carnival

The celebration of Carnival offers the opportunity to get to know old traditions in different parishes and places of Malpica de Bergantiños mixing ethnographic, cultural aspects and, above all, filled with wit and even transgressing that which is established.

The neighbours of the whole municipality show their fun and ironic side in events such as the Game of the Cows, in Barizo, the Burial of the Mikaela, in Buño, the Burial of the Farruco, in Seaia, the Burial of Faustino, in Malpica or the Route of the Madamitos and Ghuardineros in the parish of Cerqueda. It is probably difficult to find a territory so fertile in carnival traditions in the province.
